Experience AHA

Some of us need to experience AHA right now. We've been away from home. We've been in the distant country. We need to come back home. Remember, Jesus was the one telling this story of the father and two sons...

But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:8-10 NIV)

Believe that Jesus paved the way for us. He died and rose from the dead for us. He paid the price for us. His actions paved the way for us to come home to the Father. Believe that Jesus is the way and tell Him to lead the way as your Lord.

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call." (Acts 2:38-39 NIV)

Don't just wake up. Don't stop at brutal honesty. Get up and go home. "Repent" means turn around. Leave the pig sty. Turn away. Don't look back. Life with the Father was so much better. It will be better again. Be baptized, washing your sins away. Picture yourself being buried with Christ and rising to a new life. The old self is gone. The new self will live with the Father.

For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate. (Luke 15:24 NIV)

How about you? Are you ready to experience AHA? Are you ready to come home to the Father through the Son?
