I realize that this discussion is not enough to "prove" that God created the heavens and the earth scientifically. It does, however, raise the right questions for us to answer whether you believe in God or not.
I like to remember with a little poem I wrote:
Where did we come from?
Consider a Tree,
The Birds of the Air,
and the Fish of the Sea.
The Flocks, Herds, and Beasts
add no more than Three.
And if that’s not enough,
think of You…and of Me.
