Remember...

These are the words that Moses spoke to all the people of Israel while they were in the wilderness east of the Jordan River.  (Deuteronomy 1:1 NLT)

Do you remember your childhood?  How about your teenage years?  Your twenties? I won't go further than that. ;)

What do you remember about your life?  Do you remember good times?  Do you remember the bad?  Do those memories still affect you today?

Moses is about to take the time to remember the past 40 years.  It's important that he does this because most of the adults who were in their twenties or older had passed away now.  Only the children from those days are alive.  They need to remember - the good and the bad, the promises and the punishments.  These memories will help drive them to do only what God calls them to do and to avoid anything else as temptation.

Do you remember what God has done in your life?
