Seeing...Me

Those who hear and don't act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.  (James 1:23-24 MSG)

Everything changed, yet we quickly forget.  Worse yet, for some of us everything changed but we were never told of the changes.  We didn't go to church and listen to the preacher (or the preacher didn't get to that part yet).  We didn't open our Bibles to read what He said (or we didn't even buy a Bible yet).  We turned to our friend, but our friend didn't care (or didn't know or couldn't be there).  Everything changed, did you know that was true?  It's all changed for me and it's all changed for you.

Just as the style of writing changed in the paragraph above, life changes for us after receiving God's forgiveness and His Spirit.  The changes seem subtle enough that they can go completely unnoticed, but they are significant changes that do make all the difference in the world!

Are you worrying about your finances or how you are going to pay the bills?  Everything changed.
Are you struggling with a bad marriage or romantic relationship?  Everything changed.
Are you battling with alcohol, drugs, or suicidal thoughts?  Everything changed.
Are you fighting to just be able to communicate with your children or parents?  Everything changed.
Are you feeling guilty, no good, or a mess?  Everything changed.
Do you lack purpose or direction?  Everything changed.

God has much to say about you - who you are and what He sees when He looks at you.  The way He saw you before has now changed.  You want to walk with Him?  He want's to walk with you.  When you accepted His invitation to Join Him, everything changed.

Read this next series of posts and start seeing yourself the way He sees you.
Look in the mirror.  Can you see it?
Everything changed.
