The Obsessed...Talk (Part 2)

Jesus came and told His disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations... (Matthew 28:18-19 NLT)

People obsessed with God are obsessed with His Mission.  They know that they are called to go and "make disciples" of all nations, so they talk about God everywhere they go.  They are constantly bringing Him up in conversations and inviting people to see Him, join Him, or walk with Him.  They encourage one another to share Him with other people, empowering one more to walk together with Him.  You can't get them to stop talking about Him because they know that there is no other conversation that will continue for eternity.

So don't worry in advance about how to answer the charges against you, for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you!  (Luke 21:14-15 NLT)

The obsessed don't worry about whether they can quote every chapter and verse from the Bible.  They're not concerned about whether their friends will argue with them or their boss will reprimand them for talking about God.  They aren't concerned about governmental laws that "prohibit" sharing the Gospel because they know God is over all governments and that governments will someday pass away...except His.

"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Luke 12:4-5 NIV)

The obsessed don't stop talking about Him because they can't.  They are compelled by God to share God with every person they meet.  They know that the worst someone can do in this life equates to torture and/or death.  This is nothing compared to the everlasting glory they will enjoy with their Father in Heaven, starting with His statement to them: "Well done, good and faithful servant."  They live this life looking forward to the next, so they talk...a lot...about God.
