The End

And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said. He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is. Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone. (Deuteronomy 34:5-7 NIV)

When you've drawn your last breath and gone home to be with the LORD, how will people remember of you?  Will your life be memorialized by the work that you've done?  How about your marriage, your children, or your grandchildren?  Will they speak of your faith - your walk with the LORD?  When you see Him face to face, will it be for the first time with fear and trembling in your heart or will you enjoy approaching an old friend.  What will happen when you leave this life?

Leaving this life is not the end.  It's just the next step in our walk together with God.  It is the step where we get to do what Moses did for much of THIS life: see Him face to face.  It will be a great and glorious day - especially if this life was spent walking with Him and doing His will.  Then He will tell you, "Well done, good and faithful servant."  He will welcome you home.

I'm sure that was the case for Moses.  God not only brought him home, but he took care of the burial as well.  People could remember him the way he was, good eye sight and strong.  They didn't have to see him any other way.  They could remember him the way he was.

Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, who did all those signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in Egypt--to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel. (Deuteronomy 34:10-12 NIV)

How will they remember you?
